Scatter Slots

Scatter Slots is Murka's fantasy-themed social casino, and its highest-grossing game by a distance. It has been running since January 2015, which makes it one of the longest-lived social slots titles still under active development.

The pitch that separates it from Vegas-style competitors is the layer on top of the reels. Rather than a lobby of machines, you work through missions on a world map, collect character cards into seasonal albums, join a clan to fight bosses, and compete in a rotating calendar of events.

The machines themselves are character-led rather than casino-themed, built around figures like Lady Femida, the Thief and Fairy Tale, which is where the game gets its distinctive look.

Coins and Gems are virtual, cannot be redeemed for cash, and nothing here is real-money gambling.

Murka Games Limited, founded in 2009 in Ukraine. The studio is now headquartered in Cyprus, having relocated after Blackstone Tactical Opportunities took a majority stake in March 2019. Our earlier description of it as a Kyiv studio was wrong.

In early 2026 Murka completed a management buyout from Blackstone, backed by MGG Investment Group. The team stayed and the game continues to ship updates, most recently reaching version 5.99 on Android in August 2026.

For scale: Scatter Slots has around 35 million downloads and an estimated $349 million in lifetime in-app purchase revenue, sitting around 40th to 50th in the Casino category as of 2026.

The default mode is Journey, a world map divided into levels. Each level is a mission with objectives, typically spinning a designated machine until you hit a target such as earning a set number of Coins or landing particular symbols. Clearing a mission unlocks the next stage and new machines.

Free Mode is the counterpart, and it is the one people miss. It lets you spin any unlocked machine with no mission constraints at all, which makes it the sensible place to grind Coins or simply play a favourite machine without a target hanging over you.

The difficulty curve is straightforward and predictable: early missions ask for modest Coin totals at low bets, and later ones demand considerably more at higher costs per spin. That widening gap is where players run dry, and it is by design.

The Status System

Running alongside Journey is a loyalty ladder called the Status System. Status points come from completing levels and from purchases, and climbing pays incremental benefits: extra Coins on purchases, higher Hourly Bonus payouts and VIP support.

This is the most misunderstood part of the game's free economy, and the part worth actually optimising.

The Hourly Bonus is not a fixed handout. It is a 30-second rapid-spin minigame you can play once an hour, and it pays out Coins and upgrade points.

Upgrade points are the interesting bit. They are spent on improving the gem payout of that same minigame, so every upgrade raises what future hourly rounds return. Gems in turn unlock new machines and buy Coin packs.

So the hourly bonus compounds if you feed it. Upgrade points also arrive from the Daily Adventure task set and from the VIP subscription, which makes those the main routes to improving it.

• Scatter Champions: The card-collection system. Character cards drop into seasonal albums, and completing sets pays out.
• Clans: Groups that spin together to defeat bosses for shared rewards.
• Battle Mode: Competitive play against other players.
• Monthly events: A large rotating calendar including Scatter Tower, Scatter Legends, Scatter Tales, Scatter Ball, Scatter Flip, Scatter Plinko, Bingo Journey, Coin Pusher, Jackpot Wheel, Scatter League and Scatter Link, among others.
• Seasonal promotions: Things like the Holiday Workshop, paying card packs, Coins and Gems.

The event calendar is genuinely dense, with more than twenty named events rotating through. That is the main reason the game has held an audience for over a decade, and it is also where a lot of the free Coins actually sit.

A note on naming, because we had two of these wrong previously: there is a Scatter Plinko and a Coin Pusher, but no Pachinko event and no Tabletops. If you see those listed elsewhere, they are drift from the real names.

Coin links here are unusually generous, typically paying between 1,500,000 and 6,500,000 Coins each, with several available across a day. They expire within 24 to 48 hours.

One thing that does not exist

There is no referral programme. Murka documents none, and the third-party pages advertising refer-a-friend bonuses for this game are either speculative or confusing it with unrelated sweepstakes casinos.

Scatter Slots sells a monthly VIP subscription at $2.99, which is unusual enough in this category to be worth examining rather than dismissing.

It pays 6,000,000 Coins, 10 Gems and upgrade points every day for thirty days. Murka pitches that as equivalent to roughly a $5 package, plus the upgrade points on top.

Whether it is worth it depends entirely on the upgrade points rather than the Coins. Because upgrade points raise the gem payout of your hourly minigame permanently, a month of subscription leaves behind a better hourly bonus after it lapses. The Coins are consumed; the upgrade is not.

If you were going to buy Coins anyway, the arithmetic is favourable. If you were not, the honest answer is that the free sources above will keep a moderate player going, and the difficulty curve is what a subscription is really smoothing over.

No. There is no code entry field and no alphanumeric code system. Free Coins arrive as links, which credit automatically when opened on a device with the game installed.

This is why sites promising Scatter Slots codes never deliver anything: the mechanism they describe does not exist in the game.

The game itself pays nothing out. Coins and Gems are virtual, there is no cash-out, no sweepstakes redemption, and Murka's own disclaimers state outcomes are random and not influenced by purchases.

The Swagbucks offer is a separate thing

Reward platforms including Swagbucks run offers paying you points, typically 1,500 to 3,000 SB, for reaching a given level in Scatter Slots inside a time limit. Common targets are level 40, 50 or 70 within 14 to 30 days.

That arrangement is between you and the reward platform, not with Murka. It is real, and some players are paid, but two things go wrong often enough to be worth stating plainly. Tracking only works if you install through the offer link, so an existing account usually will not register progress. And players report level resets and tracking failures, which then require a support ticket with screenshots.

So treat it as a real but unreliable arrangement with a third party, read the specific offer terms before starting, and screenshot your progress as you go. The difficulty curve past the early levels is exactly what makes these offers harder to complete than they look.
