World Series of Poker

World Series of Poker is Playtika's free-to-play Texas Hold'em game, licensed to use the WSOP name, bracelets and ring designs.

Three different things share that name and they are constantly confused, so it is worth separating them plainly.

• This game: A free social poker app. Chips are virtual, have no cash value, and cannot be withdrawn or cashed out.
• The live World Series of Poker: The actual tournament series in Las Vegas, with real buy-ins and real prize money. Nothing to do with this app.
• WSOP real-money poker: A separate licensed real-money product available only in certain regulated jurisdictions. Also a different app.

Winning a bracelet in this game is a cosmetic achievement. It does not enter you into anything, and it is not a seat at the live series.

Worth knowing because a lot of published information about this game, our own earlier copy included, is now out of date.

The WSOP trademarks sat with Caesars Interactive Entertainment for years. In 2024 the live World Series of Poker brand was acquired by NSUS Group, the parent company of GGPoker.

That separated ownership of the live tournament series from Playtika's social game. Playtika retained its licence to use the WSOP branding, bracelets and ring designs in this app, confirmed by the in-game copyright notices and by 2026 press releases.

So the practical answer to who owns WSOP now is: NSUS Group for the live events, with Playtika licensed for this game. Describing the app as Caesars-licensed, as we previously did, is no longer accurate.

Most social poker games give you a daily bonus and little else. WSOP runs several distinct mini-games alongside it, which is the main reason its free economy holds up.

• Daily Pro Bonus: A seven-day streak from 250,000 Chips up to 5,000,000, worth around 12.75 million across a week.
• Four-hour lobby bonus: Up to six collections a day, paying more at every My Club rank.
• Facebook Connect: A one-time 500,000 Chips, plus daily gifts from friends who play.
• Invites: Paid to both sides, and larger the higher your club.
• Daily Blitz: A recurring mini-game paying Chips.
• Lightning Show: A second mini-game on its own cycle.
• Chip Case Bonus: A case-opening reward.
• Beat The House: A separate mode that pays out as you clear it.
• Video Poker: A mini-game inside the app, distinct from the Hold'em tables.
• WSOP Album: A collectible set system, paying out on completion.
• Season Pass: A progression track with a free reward line alongside the paid one.
• Official link posts: Chip links posted to the game's official channels, which our free chips page collects.

Because these run on different cycles rather than one shared timer, a single visit rarely collects all of them. Working through the list is worth more than waiting for any one bonus to grow.

The most underused thing in this game, and it is not really in this game at all.

Playtika runs a Status Points programme that synchronises across its portfolio when you connect through Facebook. Points earned in Slotomania, House of Fun, Caesars Slots, Bingo Blitz or Solitaire Grand Harvest, all of which we cover, count toward the same standing as points earned here.

So if you already play another Playtika game, connecting the accounts means that play raises your status here too, rather than the two being siloed.

The requirement is Facebook Connect specifically. Progress itself ties to your account through email, Facebook or Google login, but the cross-game Status Point sync needs the Facebook link.

More places than most, and one of them is easy to miss.

• iOS and Android: The main mobile apps, from 2013.
• Browser: A full web version at playwsop.com, active as of 2026.
• Windows: Available through the Microsoft Store.

The browser version is genuinely useful for poker specifically, where a larger screen and a mouse make reading the table and sizing bets easier than on a phone.

There has also historically been a Facebook version, dating to roughly 2013 or 2014. Meta ended support for web games on Facebook on 1 September 2026, so use playwsop.com rather than the Facebook route if you want to play in a browser.

No. There is no code redemption system in the game and no field to enter anything into.

Playtika distributes clickable Chip links instead, through the official channels and in-game notifications. Those credit automatically when opened while you are logged in.

Any site offering WSOP promo codes is describing a mechanism this game does not have. Be particularly wary of sites promising real-money WSOP entries or bracelet qualifications in exchange for anything: those confuse this game with the live series.

The poker itself is genuine Texas Hold'em, with the same hand rankings, betting rounds and structure you would find anywhere. Skill matters in the ordinary way: bet sizing, hand selection and reading opponents all affect results over time.

What is not real is the stake. Chips cost nothing and are worth nothing, which changes how opponents behave. Players call far more loosely when losing costs them nothing, so bluffs work less often here than they would at a real table.

That is the single most useful strategic adjustment for anyone coming from real poker: value bet more, bluff less. The player pool is looser than the one you are used to.

Playtika publishes no odds or RNG certification data for the shuffle, which is standard for a social game.

The comparisons split between other poker games and the rest of Playtika's catalogue, which shares your Status Points.

• Zynga Poker: The other large social poker game, with a bigger player pool and a simpler economy.
• Scatter HoldEm Poker: Poker wrapped in a fantasy mission map, if you want structure beyond the tables.
• Slotomania: Playtika's flagship slots title, sharing your Status Points.
• House of Fun: Also Playtika, and also on the shared Rewards programme.
• Caesars Slots: Another Playtika title, with the Caesars branding this game used to share.
• Bingo Blitz: Playtika's bingo game, again pooling Status Points.

For pure poker, Zynga Poker is the main alternative and has the larger pool. WSOP's advantages are the branding, the browser version, and the fact that every other Playtika game you play feeds the same Status Point balance.
