Hypercube: match 5 gems in a straight line, get a flashing cube that destroys every gem of a chosen color on the entire board when you swap it with any gem. Star Gem: match 5 gems in an L or T shape, get a Star Gem that wipes its full row and column when activated. Star Gems are the biggest guaranteed area clear you can build on your own. Hypercubes can beat them when there are many gems of the target color available, but that's board-dependent.
