One link is one gem

A Rare Gem is a single item, not a pile of currency.

Each link gives you one named gem. Quackamarine, Pie Power and Stargazer are three of them. You use it during a 60 second round and then it is gone.

A day with one link is still a normal day. The rate is 1 to 3 links a day.

You can only hold 5 of each

Your inventory holds 5 of each free Rare Gem.

At that limit, the claim screen shows MAX and gives you nothing. The link is fine. Your shelf is full.

Use one in a game, then come back and claim.

Check the Items tab before working through a batch of links, so you do not waste fresh ones on a gem you are already full of.

Where your gems turn up

Claimed gems go to the Items tab on the main game screen.

If you cannot see one, close the game and open it again, then look in the tab. It does not always refresh on its own.

Check there before deciding a link failed.

Other free gems in the game

The Daily Spin resets every 24 hours. It can land on a Rare Gem, and it can land on gold bars, coins or shards instead. It is free and needs no play.

The Daily Challenge is the reliable one. Finish it at Gold rank and you get a Rare Gem every day.

Blitz Quest runs a treasure hunt over 3 to 4 days, and its chests hold gems, coins, gold bars, shards and diamonds.

Use the right Facebook account

On Facebook, claim while logged into the same account your Bejeweled Blitz game is connected to.

If the accounts do not match, the gem credits the wrong account, and there is no way to move it across.

Check which account you are signed into before working through a list of links.

When a link opens Safari and stops

On an iPhone, if a gem link opens Safari and does not reach the game, close Safari, start Bejeweled Blitz, then tap the link again.

On Android, open the link from inside the Facebook app instead of another browser.

An old link says plainly that the gift has expired, so you are not left guessing.

How long a link lasts

There is no published time limit. Players report 1 to 3 days.

Treat anything older than that as a long shot and use the newest first.

This game has been running since 2010, so links get copied around for years. The date on a card matters more than the site you found it on.

Blitz Champions puts you against players of a similar standard in a scoring contest.

Each contest has its own scoring tasks, and finishing higher pays better rewards.
